Fra Filippo Lippi

Italian Renaissance painter of the fifteenth century (died 1469)

One of the most celebrated painters in 15th-century Florence, Filippo Lippi was also a Carmelite priest. He trained artists like Sandro Botticelli. Among his most famous works is Madonna and Child with Two Angels in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
